Seattle Tilth Fall Gardening Workshop

Went to Seattle Tilth's Fall Gardening Workshop with Stacey on Sunday.
For a newbie aspiring veggie gardener, it was pretty cool.
The Master Gardener presenting the workshop gave step by step instructions and took her time answering everyone's questions.
After the lecture and Q&A (best info was how to set up a beer-based slug trap) there was a hands-on demo on how to exactly prepare and sow the fall/winter plot.

Even cooler, she gave us some mixed seeds to take home and plant. Got mine in the ground today (between thunderstorms.)

If all goes according to plan, should be ready for cut-and-comeback harvesting in about 45 days. (And I'll be sick of salad in about 46 days.)

Lots more interesting workshops left this year: http://www.seattletilth.org/classes-and-workshops/

After the workshop, we met up with the rest of the Brotherton's (Greg and their two pooches) at the dog park and made our way to the Baguette Box. While I have no complaints about the Pork Shoulder sammy that I got, next time I'm definitely getting the Drunken Chicken sandwich that Stacey had. Along with the great sandwiches, we had some ridiculously rich and tasty french fries made w/truffle oil. That's right, we rock it large in the NW.

Anyhoodle, afterwards, Stacey and I then went and lusted after the nice pro-sumer digital cameras they've got at Glazers.
