Ron Bird has been practising user interface and user experience design in excess of 20 years.

He worked at Xerox involved in the development of moving the copier controls from a control panel to a graphical user interface. Recently, for 4years he was the lead designer for the camera user interface currently used on the Nokia N series handsets, Ron is also responsible for Nokia's carousel style rotating browser.

In the intervening years developing network management systems with BT, financial service software for Reuters both in the UK and the Far East, data systems for the UK Home Office, and the email messaging system for the mobile operator 3.

He is currently the principal of 2birds, design consulting for mobile phone and electronic companies.
