(the translation I was told, all this before Lion King!) Jambo! - Hi! sijambo - hi to a female. Kiboko - hippopotamus Kwa heri - goodbye kwa heri ya kuonana - fare thee well.

Lala Salama - sleep well. Mrembo - beautiful woman. Maisha marefu - good life or cheers! Mzuri! - Welcome! mzuri sana - you're very welcome. Nimefurahi - I am happy. Rafiki - friend. Simba - lion.
