Carrots, Beets and Radishes


We planted beets, radishes and carrots in a raised bed.

We seeded carrots, radishes and beets in one of the raised bed by the back door. We decided instead of doing long rows we would do shorter rows across the bed the short way. We did 2 rows of beets and radishes and 3 rows of carrots. The beets and radish rows were spaced 6 inches apart and carrots 1 foot. We got excellent germination because we kept the beds wet by watering every evening. We also received a lot of rain after we put them in. The bed doesn't receive a ton of sun but they seem to do just fine there. I used a level with a straight edge to get the rows straight.
