A Kind Word Alone is one of the adventures of Jack A Ridder, Deconstructionist Detective. Jack A Ridder is a twisted anagram of Jacques Derrida, in my opinion one of the sillier phenomena to come along during the last century. Despite the fact that Derrida is now gone, Jack manages to solve the strange case of semiosis, a crime of signs.

Rebellion in the People's Republic of the Southeast Heights is a collection of short essays on life in the late 20th century (now a nostalgic nod at history). Joe Sprague is a former lawyer, bookstore owner, entrepreneur. He is now a student advocate in the Albuquerque school systen and by all signs pretty happy about it.
