MAKE-UPS, ABSENCES AND SIBLINGS

 

Make-Up Policy  

Two make-up classes are permitted each session. (Extra make-ups are allowed for medical reasons.) Consistency and predictability are very important to young children. We encourage you to attend your scheduled class.   Make-ups may not be carried over into next session, unless the absence was due to health reasons and the child is registered for the following session.

Make-Up Procedure  

Make-ups and absences can be scheduled either on-line or through our office. To schedule by phone, call the office at 770-645-5578 at least two business days before the class you would like to attend. To use our web site, go to www.TheMusicClass.com and Log In (use the customer log-in button on the left). Select “schedule a make-up” and follow the instructions. Web site make-ups can be scheduled at the last minute, providing there is space available. The web site will only allow you to self schedule two make-ups. If you need additional make-ups because of medical reasons, please get a note from your doctor and call in the request. When you schedule a make-up you will receive a pass code.  Be sure to bring it to class.  DON’T LOSE YOUR CODE!  To control overcrowding, we will not allow you in without your correct pass code.  

Sibling Make-Ups

Our web site is not very good at scheduling sibling make-ups.  It can only schedule one child at a time.  Because of this, sometimes the first child will get a make-up code, but there will be no room for the 2nd child.  If this happens to you please give us a call, or send an email to makeup@themusicclass.com so that we can find an alternate class.  Scheduling make-ups for siblings at the last minute can be risky.  Please try to schedule ahead of time.

Schedule Class Absences

If you let us know when you are going to miss a class we will open your spot for someone who would like to schedule a make-up.  You can schedule an absence on our web site or on our voice mail.  Please schedule absences whenever possible.

Do Not Assume That You Will Be Able To Schedule A Make Up The Last Two Weeks Of The Session

Because so many people wait to the end of the session to schedule their make-ups it isn’t possible to accommodate everyone. Please do your best to schedule your make-ups earlier in the session. You’re welcome to schedule a makeup before a scheduled absence.

 

Older Siblings

We do our best to allow older siblings to come to class on days when their school is not in session. Sibling visits cannot be scheduled on the web site. To avoid overcrowding you must call our office and use the make-up voice-mail to request permission to bring an older sibling. Call at least two business days before the class you would like to attend.  You can also send an email request to makeup@themusicclass.com  Sibling visits are available on a first come/first served basis.
