Yehudit Ravitz must get a special mention here. She sings in five of the dances presented. She is a soloist in Yosi Yosi and Ahava Yomyomit, a co-soloist with Mati Caspi in Samba Bishnayim, one of the ensemble for Ani Ohev (Chocolat) and is in the backing group in Gan Sagur. She also sings solo in Mila Tova and Arba Lifnot Boker – two of the dances I delisted because of editing.
One of my dear friends living in Israel was having breakfast at a restaurant in Tel Aviv one morning with a mutual Australian friend, when she saw Yehudit sitting quietly having breakfast. Knowing how much I loved her songs, and just happening to have a camera on her person, Osnat went over and persuaded Yehudit to have a photo taken with the two of them, and also persuaded her to send me regards in English on the back of the photo. It doesn’t get much better than that – well I guess it does, but I’m satisfied.
