| Welcome to my Genealogy Web page for the Yandow (Guindon) family. The photograph above is Vital Guindon (Yandow) and Justine (Racine). They are my great-great grandparents. The photograph was probably taken around their 65th wedding aniversary, ca1917. This compilation was a cumulation of many hours researching Vital Records in City and Town Clerks offices through-out Franklin, Chittenden, Addison and Washington Counties, Vermont. Further information was collected from Census records, newspaper death, marriage and birth notices. Also, help was provided by the following long lost cousins (recently found): Lillian Scrivens (Rancourt), Shaftsbury, Vermont Joyce Donnelly (Yandow), North Ferrisburg, Vermont Lorraine Hofmann (Bashaw), Essex, Vermont Isadore "Ted" V. Yandow, Swanton, Vermont Most of the research information from the Quebec side of the border was provided by Dr. A.E. Edwards, St. Lambert, Quebec and The "Guindon Newsletter", editor Laverne Aitchison (e-mail: lk.aitch@gmail.com). Update: In the past three years since I first published my web site I have received several corrections and additions to the family. I'm very greatful to all who have e-mailed me and contributed.
