The Movies These are movies that a consensus of critics have agreed are of particular merit. Most will be small independent or foreign films in limited release. The whole point here is to broaden your artistic horizons by seeing something you wouldn't ordinarily encounter. If there happens to be a heavily advertised film on the list, avoid it and pick something you've never heard of. Oh, and one more thing, you must see the film at a movie theater, not on video or pirate DVD. Save your ticket stub to prove it. The questions you must answer in your reviews are in the link called Review Questions at the top of this page. If you are doing an extra credit film review, use the link above called Extra Credit Questions.

I am often asked, "Do I have to see the movie at these theaters only?" The answer is no. You may see them anywhere you can find them. However, you are most likely to find the films at these theatres.I urge you to take advantage of the lower prices offered at early shows, typically between 4:00 and 5:30 pm. Sometimes this is indicated in the newspaper listings with parentheses or brackets around the times. Call to be sure.
