After eight years booking the Coffee Cup and six years as musical host(along with Raison D'Etre,) I am taking a break from the committee to work on my own songwriting and performing. The Coffee Cup Series will continue, but it starts much earlier this year and lasts through July. See the line-up page for a direct link.

| We're surely going to miss the "Java Jive" this summer. Since the series is beginning on June 21(and we are already booked for a PT Boat Reunion that night,) we just figured that it might be time to sing "Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight." The audiences at Coffee Cup are the most supportive and sweet people we have ever met. We had a really nice neighborhood "garden party" going on there for several years. A place and event to be proud of. We hope to see you around the area. Much love to you!... |
2006 Season Sponsors: Cardiology Associates, Grange Mutual and Hatfield Insurance, Party Town, Reality Tuesday Cafe, Remke Markets,Tristate Gastroenterology, & WNKU 89.7 FM. Special thanks to John Gray Awards, Trauth Dairy & NKY Water District. |

| Goodbye, Zoe Speaks |

While I'm sure that most of you have been contacted already by Mitch and Carla, I'd just like to say how much I am saddened by the split up--professionally and personally--of Zoe Speaks. They were truly "one of the crown jewels of Kentucky folk music," as BCM Board member Pat Burns once dubbed them. Both are continuing as solo artists and are determined to release their "Drop in the Bucket" CD sometime very soon. I am including their website links below so that you can keep track of them.
