![]() A sound designer for film and television since the early 90s, Richie has also written music for, produced, engineered and played on many albums for several successful Latin american pop and rock bands since the late 80s. Yes, he had really long hair at the time.
He was born in Costa Rica and moved to North America in 1999. Since then, he has worked on films with composers like Hans Zimmer, Ramin Djawadi and Klaus Badelt, and has provided his services to sound and music companies like Machine Head, Media Ventures, Gray Matter and Shoreline Studios in Los Angeles; and Sound Dogs, Bluesound, Crunch Recording, Kitchen Sync and Bullet Digital in Toronto. In the last 15 years, Richie has been involved with projects for DreamWorks, Lucasfilms, Dimension Films, Sony Pictures, HBO, VH1, FOX Sports, Sony Music, BMG, EA, THQ, Harmonix and many more of the biggest companies in the entertainment industry. His work can be heard on many commercially-released CDs, feature films, documentaries, video games and over 30 television series for the U.S. and Canada. In January of 2008 Richie started his transition into the video games industry. He has since composed music and/or designed sounds for projects like EA's "Nerf N-Strike", "Nerf 2: N-Strike Elite", "Littlest Pet Shop", "Littlest Pet Shop Friends", and THQ/Marvel's "Marvel Super Hero Squad". He also recently finished work on Ubisoft's "James Cameron's AVATAR: The Game" and is currently writing music for two upcoming games for EA. Richie lives in Toronto with his wife and his two dogs. |
