In this section of the website you will find a visual record of Len Deighton's career in books and films. Deighton was originally an artist and a trained graphic designer and in many aspects of his work there is a strong visual element - the innovative cookstrips, the painstainkingly detailed book illustrations. As well as incorporating his own designs in his books, Deighton worked closely with a number of designers and photographers to create a consistent 'look' across all his work.

Also here are photographs from the movies and the places associated with Len Deighton and his work; in fact, if it's not using words to get across a point, it will be in this section. Here you will find pictures from Berlin, the city which is in effect one of Deighton's main characters in many of his books - now you can see many of the real locations and compare how they really look, to how you imagined they looked from Deighton's descriptions.

Use the section menu on the left to navigate around the different sections, and the drop-down menu bar on the right to find individual pages.
