| This genealogy site is in progress. It will be updated from time to time as I get new information. My name is Shelley Kellerman Pollero. For over two centuries, members of my family lived in Eastern Europe, mainly in what is now Poland or Belarus. Because of frequent border changes in that region, current names of countries may not be the same as they were when our ancestors lived there. For example, towns in Galicia were once in the Austrian Empire, but now are in Poland or Ukraine. Towns in the White Russian area of the Russian Empire are now in Belarus. Beginning in the 1890s, many immigrated to the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Australia, and Israel. Most of those who remained in Europe perished in the Holocaust. My main branches are KELLERMAN(N), BLECHNER, BIRNBACH, KAMPEL, of Galicia; TANENBAUM/TENENBAUM (and variations), KAGAN, LEKHERZAK of Belarus; BASSIOR (and variations), BASS, FALEK, and BECHER of Poland. Branches of the POLLERO family in Italy include POLLERO, PALMERO, VERARDO, PASTORINO, TRAVERSO, BIANCHERI, and ALBERTIERI. Branches of the SPIEGELBERG family in Germany include SPIEGELBERG, BRANDT, GALLREIN, and KUPPERBERG. Please help me fill in the missing information on this page.
