These are the Sounds of Our Lives

I've always thought my life has needed a soundtrack or at least some music highlights for special events, and it appears that I've passed this thinking on to my son.

I believe it's normal for kids to say "Vroom" when riding a bike or pushing a toy truck, and Aidan does this; but he's also added some other happy sound effects to those activities he finds exciting.

Jumping off the couch usually gets a resounding "Ta Daaa!" followed by a cheerful laugh.

My favorite musical effect comes when Aidan discovers or finds something. It makes me smile every time. I don't really do it justice in this attached sound file, even after altering my voice a little. Imagine this sound coming out of an excited two-year old with a huge smile of discovery:

When Karin was pregnant with Aidan, everyone seemed excited for us, many people gave us advice, and a few told us child-rearing horror stories. No one, however, told us how much fun it would be or how much our son would make us laugh. I love being a dad.
