Comics in the bookstores

Today, I went into my local Barnes & Noble and bought a comic book. Nothing earth-shattering, right? But extremely unusual for me. See, normally I get my comic fix from the Local Comic Book Store, Rebel Base Comics and Toys . Have done for the last five years or so, ever since I moved to Charlotte.

The BN, however, had these classy essential volumes, all in color, of X-Men 94-110. Now, I've got the individual issues (in fact, every X-Men issue since Giant Sized #1), but I wanted to get these so my sons could read the comics.

Barnes & Noble has an exclusive deal with Marvel, publishers of X-Men, to produce the only softcover versions of the Masterpiece editions, which reprint important issues from the back stock. Only $12.95 each. Pretty sweet deal.

So why do I feel like I was cheating?
