Bush Lies, Good People Die

Photos from the war in Iraq

I'm not sure why they're doing it, but the higher-ups in the Bush administration have forbidden the release of any flag-draped coffins coming back from Iraq. Sure, I can speculate that the Bush administration doesn't want anyone to note that this baseless war has a real, tangible human cost, but that's only speculation on my part.

However, what isn't speculation is this photo. Good men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces are dying in Iraq for who knows what reason. Real men and women. Not abstractions. And the fact that they cannot be honored as they should be, respected as they should be after they have given the ultimate sacrifice in the service of this country, is yet another travesty of the Unelected Fraud.

Pause for a moment of reflection. Think about why these people died and what we can do to prevent more from dying. I know I'll be voting against the person who sent them into harm's way with a lie.
