Diamond Fork Canyon, UT

A few images from Diamond Fork Canyon I took early in the morning while my wife was on a training bike ride. The canyon was lush green from several rain storms over the past week.

Many hillsides were covered with these brilliant blue wildflowers.
A close up of the blue wildflowers.
The color of the flowers was almost the same as the color of the sky.
Another close up of the blue flowers.
The orange of the soil contrasted starkly with the green of the meadow grass.
The low early sun dramatically backlit the grasses and newly-leafed trees.
The dull muddy water seemed out of place in the brilliant greens of the valley.
In the lower left is a single plant of pink wildflowers—close ups follow.
