Think about it:
How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?

AND THE 50-YEAR ROAD WE'VE BEEN DOWN SINCE 1956

"DEMOGRAPHICS"
Of approximately 318 classmates, 55 are known to be deceased, leaving, at most, an estimated 263 of us "at large".
Of these, 116 (about 60 guys and 56 gals) attended one or more reunion event... a turnout of 44%.
Including guests the total attendance at the reunion was 201... a record number
if you believe what we heard at the dinner-dance.

We live (lived) in over 150 cities and towns in 30 states around the U.S. plus British Columbia and Australia.
Nearly 50% of us live (lived) in Oklahoma (over 60 people in Enid alone).
Texas ranked next with 15% of our classmates there.
Over 75% of our classmates live in Oklahoma or one of its six bordering states.

Average number of children per family is 2.4 (present US population "Replacement Rate" is 2.1).

25% of us were TEACHERS, for some or full time, during our career(s) .
[This is a surprising number as recent national statistics show the number of teachers to be about 12 for every 1000 working people (or 1.2%).]
2% are LAWYERS.
[The present national number is 4 lawyers for every 1000 working people (or 0.4%).]

54% of us have at least a Bachelor's degree and
24% have an advanced degree(s).
(Many others have had some level of higher education, either to further their career or to move to a new career.)

GENERAL:
46% of us own up to being fully 'retired' (the rest are still working, farming or just 'dabbling' with a working activity)
and, would you believe, 99% of us are the same age!
