The turning point in the war on terror?
Two major events happened in Iraq today
(yesterday?). A constitution was approved and the terrorist changed their
strategy.
Two major events happened in Iraq. A constitution
was approved and the terrorist changed their strategy. Both are enormously
important to our future and both are dependent on the will and courage of the
Iraqi people.
A new constitution,
Negotiated and approved behind closed doors. Hope for a new life. A new
freedom, a new start. Sound familiar? It should, it happened in Iraq today and
in America a couple of hundred years ago. What made it important to the world
then were the people who stood up and defended the words with their lives, their
fortunes, and their honor. The Iraqi’s have no less of a charge.
The terrorist, who wish to prevent
democracy and freedom from budding in the Middle East at all cost, made a key
change in their strategy today. They moved from attacking military targets to
attacking Iraqi civilian targets. By this change the terrorists have admitted
that they have no hope of driving America out. They know that freedom will take
root. So in desperation they turn to attacking their fellow Muslims hoping to
crush the will of the Iraqi
people.
The tide has turned! The
terrorists know it!
The fate of the
Middle East and the world is now balancing on the valor and grit of the Iraqi
people. Stand firm and win freedom or fail and plunge into chaos. The stakes
are nothing less.
