Saddam Anybody?

Capture of Saddam

We finally got him. This time I didn't hear it on the radio. I didn't see it on TV. My friend Mike called me just as Bush was giving his speech. Believe it or not my cable was out and I didn't have CNN or Fox so I had to go out to my truck and listen on the radio.

I can't tell you how thrilled I was when I heard about it. I know that he wasn't directly involved in the day to day fighting that has been going on. You can take one look at him and you know that he wasn't running the show. He was just running! With all of his bravado and pushing people to give their all for Iraq he has been hiding in a hole trying to save his ass! Am I surprised? Not at all. After all this is a man that has lost all of the wars he ever fought. He never demonstrated one once of bravery in any of the conflicts that he lead his nation into.

Will his capture stop all of the fighting? No it won't. None the less it is an important step. Now all of the people who were afraid that Saddam might come back into power will know that he will not.

The only thing that will stop it is to continue to search and destroy these people. We must also stop the flow of supplies to them and we can not let there be any sancutary for them. That means if we find another country supporting the terrorist we must strike fast and hard. The Middle East has seen us take down two governments now. The first everyone was OK with because of 911. The second people blame on Bushes father. The third will show all nations that may wish to harbor these people that they will be next. Then they will stop the terrorism within their borders.
