Responsible for operations of the web sites DisneyWorld.com, DisneyLand.com, DisneyCruise.com, and other sites related to DisneyÕs Theme parks bringing in revenue in excess of $1 million a day.  This includes the setup and maintenance of the front-end web and application servers and the integration with the legacy systems, turnover, backup, monitoring, recovery, and 24/7 support.   Setup MQSeries  network to integrate the exchange of Guest Data between online and offline sources in a secure manner.

Responsible for operation of the GO.comÕs Web Site consisting of 400 mixed UNIX and NT servers that receives over 15 million page views a day.  Manage 15 people supporting the production data center, UNIX/NT Administration, and Production code turnover. Created a temporary system for monitoring the GO.com site during DisneyÕs re-launch.  With a week notice, setup 24X7 War Room for new portal launch.  This War Room was then expanded into the Escalation Center that supported all of WDIG.  Managed 9 million dollar budget.  Created a tool for tracking GO.com Operations budget, which was adopted across all other WDIG Operations groups.

Managed customer relations, vendor relations, 10 JANUS employees, oversaw their projects, and worked with Sales to grow the security business in the San Francisco Bay Area (assisted in bringing in 3 new accounts worth $1.5).  At Schwab, Inc. responsible for the installation of Enterprise wide security software to manage all User Ids for all computer systems world wide, Enterprise wide security of directories/files on all Unix computers, security policies, MVS lockdown, established security standards for NT/Unix machines, and implementation of those security standards.  Managed security intrusion detection, computer forensics, and project teams as well as the setting up of the West Coast Office.  Designed a User Id management system and managed development team (work still in progress) for VISA.

¥ Developed the first fully automated backup solution for all Macintoshes residing on a large enterprise network.

¥ Directed, funded, and implemented the first LocalTalk to Ethernet bridges.

¥ Implemented the first 800 megabit Cray to frame buffer network.

¥ Installed the first production UNIX on a commercial Cray super computer.

¥ Implemented the first routers that shared AppleTalk zones across internets.

Created the vision, strategic direction, business plans, budgets and management of Apple's worldwide engineering network, data archival, and central computer groups.  Managed 45 people with a 21 million dollar budget.

 

¥ Originated the strategic direction for networks, backups, system support and electronic mail within Apple's worldwide R&D community.

 

¥ Supported Apple's 8600-node worldwide engineering LAN network using TCP/IP and AppleTalk.  Expanded it from one building network to over 40 buildings worldwide.

 

¥ Directed the creation of a client/server backup methodology for all engineering UNIX and Macintosh data in an automated manner with minimum cost.

 

¥ Designed directed and completed the construction of a computer room; installed Apple's first Cray super computer and staffed it in two months.
