Welcome to the Cincinnati Open Band Web Page

The Open Band plays at the regular Cincinnati Monday Night Contra Dances in Wyoming, OH, about once every two months (click on http://www.cincinnaticontradance.org/ for more information).  Currently, we are scheduled to play on the following dates in 2009:

Feb. 23
Apr. 20
Jun. 15

The Open Band is, as its name implies, open to all!  Whether you are a beginning musician, an experienced one new to the area, or something else entirely, you are are welcome to sit it.  We do have rehearsals, but you are still welcome to come and play even if you haven't rehearsed before.  If you want to know when and the next rehearsal is, contact Rick Boyce (email given below).

Some of our tunes come from a collection called the Kentucky Open Band Contra Tunes.  However, others have been added as we have played together for a while.

If you would to be added to the email list, where you will receive information about upcoming reheasals and gigs, contact Rick Boyce
