Family Photos

The first reason I started this site was to provide my parents, brothers, sister and their families the opportunity to see my daughter grow-up over the years. As we live in Severn, Maryland, the parents are in Florida, one Brother is in Tennessee, the other brother is roaming the world and my sister is in North Carolina, getting to together is a logistical and traveling nightmare. Through this web page we can always be close.

Family Genealogy

This is the second reason I started this web page. I began sifting through the Phillips Family genealogy upon my retirement, October 2001, from the United States Air Force. I had never thought about where my Great-Grandparents were born. Like many citizens in the United States, I assumed that, like I, they were born and raised right here in the U. S. of A. Much to my shock, not only was my Great-Grandfather not born in the U.S. (he was born in Scotland), but his father (my Great-Great-Grandfather) didn't fight in the Civil War. This was a great surprise to me. So after retirement, I spent my free hours researching the family history. Now, four years later, I'm proud to say I can trace the Phillips family tree back nine (9) generations, well into the mid-1700's.
