eSite
eSite is a tool for building static websites or for preprocessing a number of pages in a dynamic website prior to placing them on the server.
I maintain two websites and the templates for some other services that I use using the eSite tool, which I wrote for this purpose. eSite is actively maintained (it works well enough, but I want to be able to replace all the scripts that I use to maintain this website with a single tool (highly site or task specific tools excepted).
This website was once maintained using a complex and long Makefile and a number of small scripts that began, as they grew in complexity, to become unweildy. So I began to replace them with a more generalized tool that could handle the tasks of a few of the chained together scripts, and eventually had the site parser called eSite.
eSite is now hosted at SourceForge and is available for general use.
