Some Technical Details
This site is maintained using gedit, eSite, and make on Mac OS X. The journal Shy Ramblings is powered and hosted by Blogger.
Since I am (somewhat) familiar with make, I decided to use make to automate a number of tasks involved in maintaining this site. Here is the makefile I use to maintain this site.

The visual representation of this site is entirely the result of the use of contextually-oriented XHTML markup and the use of CSS and CSS positioning markup to control visual layout and flow. It may not work with older browsers. Please use a recent browser to view this site. Your viewing experience will be more pleasant, more secure, and more informative, both at this site and within the web as well.
An Apology
Everything has some sort of cost. Even me. That said, my work you find available from this or related or linked sites is freely given away--well, we do retain some rights and require that the users of the sotware so freely distributed agree not to take certain actions--is done without any renumeration other than that I find it to be useful. However, the quality of software I write suffers when I am incapable of maintaining it, and some form of renumeration would go a long way towards allowing me to justify my working on this software to those who don't value the work I am doing in and of itself. If you find my software useful, please let me know.
