The Whiting City council met in regular session July 10,2006, 7:00 PM
in the council chambers
with Mayor Marr presiding.
Council present: Haack, Mattingly, Jones
Absent: Lyons, Bock
Minutes of previous meeting approved as mailed.
2nd reading Ordinance 2006-3. An Ordinance Amending The Municipal Code
Of Whiting By Adding
Chapter 14 To Title III Which Chapter Shall Be Entitled “Residency
Restrictions For Sex Offenders.”
Motion by Haack second by Mattingly to accept 2nd reading Ordinance
2006-3.
Roll call vote, all in favor.
Motion by Mattingly second by Jones to approve renewal of Siouxland
Aging contract for senior
meals as amended. Motion carried
Motion by Jones second by Haack to draft ordinance placing no parking
signs from the north edge
of lot 9 to the south edge of lot 10 on Shannon Drive.
Motion carried
Noxious oder reported at car wash. It has been reported to Chris Lyons
and he is working on it at
this time.
Clerk to send notices to owners of Phipps property and Jorgenson
property to cut weeds and clean
up properties.
Wolf tree service will take out stumps at park and give the city a bid
for trimming trees and
brush out of alleys . Cost to be billed back to property owners.
Property owners to be notified
of the estimated cost.
Angela Lyons to resubmit Doctor bills to City insurance company.
Robert Haack to take seat open on the Monona County Economic
Development Board.
Motion by Haack second by Jones to allow bills. Motion carried.
