The Whiting City Council met in regular session April 3,2006 in the
Council chambers with
Mayor Marr presiding.
Council present: Lyons, Haack, Mattingly, Jones
Absent: Bock
Motion by Haack second by Jones to approve minutes of last regular
meeting as mailed. Carried
Motion by Mattingly second by Lyons to approve minutes of March 28,
2006 special meeting.
Carried
Skip to contact Jack Virtue on having pins put on lots on housing
project lots.
Rollie Clark, CHN Garbage Service presented new contract for garbage
removal in the City..
As of May 1,2006 the price of large garbage cans will increase to $9,50
per month, and
small cans will increase to $8,50 per month.
Motion by Haack second by Jones to approve 2 year garbage contract as
presented.
Garbage removal for the Rodeo grounds will increase to $200.00.
Motion by Lyons second bu Haack to have Rodeo Association pay for there
own garbage
removal fee for 4th of July Celebration. Carried
Motion by Lyons second by Mattingly to raise rates of residential water
by 50 cents per house
hold as of May 1,2006. Carried
Notice to be put in the paper for residents to trim trees and brush out
of their alley's.
Skip to call Monona County on cleaning out the South ditch for drainage.
Proclamation on Sexual and Domestic Violence was read by Mayor Marr.
Motion by Mattingly second by Jones to allow payment of bills. Carried
Meeting adjourned by Mayor Marr.
