The Whiting City council met in regular session December 4,2006, 7:00
PM, in the council.
Chambers with Mayor Marr presiding.
Council present: Lyons, Jones, Haack
Absent: Bock
Minutes of previous meetings approved as mailed.
Meg Polly and Mrs. Hobbs presented Library proposed budget for
2007-2008.
Budget to be approved at January meeting.
Council vacancy was discussed. Notice to be published in Onawa Sentinel
next week for
Council to appoint someone to fill vacancy.
Motion by Haack second by Jones to approve renewal of Charlies liquor
license and Sunday
sales permit. Carried
Tom and Rita Baczwaski requestd council to grant variance for building
to the North of their
existing kitchen.
Motion by Haack second by Lyons to grant variance.
Motion carried.
Personnel policies tabled until January meeting.
Motion by Haack second by Jones for Fire Department and Rescue to have
yearly budget
approved by the City Council and submit monthly reports of expenditures.
Skip presented estimates for pickups to be considered by the Council,
to be considered at
January meeting.
Motion by Lyons second by Haack to approve yearly financial report.
Carried
Mayor Marr appointed Robert Haack as Mayor Pro Tem.
Motion by Lyons second by Jones to allow bills. Carried
