March 21, 2007
The Whiting City Council met in special session on March 21, 2007, 5:00
PM, in the council chambers with Mayor Tom Marr presiding.
Council Present: Lyons, Jones, Haack
Absent: Bock, Seward
Minutes of previous meeting approved as mailed.
Motion by Haack and seconded by Jones to have Skip make necessary
repairs on the street sweeper.
Motion carried.
Dana Kirby, Dick Derr and Dave Storm were here and represented the
Whiting Housing Corp. They were interested in looking into developing a
housing project. Will look further into this matter.
Motion by Lyons and seconded by Jones to allow Mayor Marr to accept the
bid from S&H Drilling for the water and sewer hookups for the
Sports Complex concession stand. Motion carried.
Large dumpsters will be behind City Hall May 3, 4 & 5th from CHN.
Les will open the city brush dump Saturday, March 24 with regular
hours. Monday...2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Wednesday..3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and
Saturday...1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Motion by Haack and seconded by Jones to approve the Tax Abatement for
Monica Gossage/Robert Rogers. Motion carried.
Mayor Marr adjourned meeting at 6:10 PM.
