CITY OF WHITING

COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS

MARCH 10, 2008

The Whiting City Council met in special session on Monday, March 10, 2008, 5:00 PM in the council chambers.

Mayor Marr called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM. Council members present were Haack, Sarrazin, Kepner and Bird. Pope was absent.

Minutes of the March 3, 2008 and the financial report for the period ending February 29, 2008 were presented and Haack made the motion to approve them and Sarrazin seconded. Roll call vote. Motion carried.

Mayor Marr opened the public hearing on the budget estimate, fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2009 at 5:02 PM. There were no written or oral objections.

Public hearing closed at 5:03 PM.

Special meeting reopened at 5:03 PM.

Motion by Haack and seconded by Bird to approve budget as proposed. Roll call vote, motion carried.

Dave Radke from Williams and Company attended and presented the city the Independent Auditors' Reports, Financial Statements and Supplementary Information and Schedule of Findings for the year ended June 30, 2007.

Purchase orders were discussed and are to be issued with every purchase.

A discussion was held on city streets.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:37 PM.
