CITY OF WHITING
COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
JANUARY 14, 2008
The
Whiting City Council met in a special meeting on Monday, January 14, 2008, in
the council chambers. Mayor Marr called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM. Council
members present were Pope, Sarrazin, Haack, Kepner, and Bird.
Motion by
Haack and seconded by Pope to approve the January 7, 2008 council meeting
minutes. Roll call vote, motion carried.
After
consideration, Pope made the motion to rescind the motion from the January 7,
2008 council meeting regarding giving the $300/mo benefit offset.
Sarrazin
seconded. Roll call vote, all in favor.
Discussion
was held on employee salaries/benefits and budget expenditures/revenues. Clerk
will meet with Williams & Co. to help prepare the budget for 08/09.
Haack
made the motion to allow the police chief's city vehicle to be parked at his
residence or city shed during on/off hours. Pope seconded the motion. Roll call
vote, motion carried.
Roxann
Seward attended the meeting and inquired about monies set aside or available
for paving projects. Clerk will check into this.

was adjourned at 6:10 PM.
