My Trail to Eagle Poster
Several
years ago, the BSA Supply Service sold a poster to allow boys to track
their progress through the boy scout ranks, from Scout to Eagle. The
poster was sold along with a set of stickers that the boys could place
on the poster as they attained each rank. The BSA Supply Service still
sells the My Trail to Eagle Insignia stickers (33419), but not the
poster. Here is a version of the poster, updated with the 2003 rank
requirements, in Adobe
Acrobat format (PDF, 92 kb) and Microsoft
Word format (DOC, 48 kb). The
poster has been formatted for printing on 11 x 17 (tabloid) size paper.
Special Award Programs
The BSA
Religious Emblems program encourages scouts to learn more about
their faith. The P.R.A.Y. (Programs
of Religious Activities with Youth) Publishing handles the publication
and distribution of handbooks and emblems for many, but not all, faiths.
Their web site also features a new video on the BSA religious emblems
program that can be viewed online or purchased in VCR format. Catholic
scouts can get information about their awards program at the Archidiocese
of Denver Catholic Committee on Scouting and Campfire web site.
The
BSA is a national member of the Leave No
Trace organization, and has adopted Leave
No Trace principles as the scout method of camping. The Leave
No Trace Awareness Award can be earned by scouts and adults.
The United States Heritage Award
was designed by scouts and adults to give youth recognition for learning
about the heritage of the United States of America, and showing patriotism.
By earning this award, youth can cultivate an appreciation for the wonderful
heritage of the United States of America
The
Service to America program
is a joint BSA-National Park Service project to encourage the contribution
of service by boy scouts in the national park system.
