Religion on the doorstep


This is a true story: a friend of mine had a doorstep visit from a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses. Hoping to get rid of them quickly she said 'I should tell you that I'm a Humanist'.

There was a pause while they thought about this: then one of them said, 'That's all right - God doesn't mind a joke'.
