Cape Horn

We approached Cape Horn after crossing the Drake Passage from South America. The seas were calm ... ideal for cruising, but nothing like the stories of the clipper ships, rounding "the horn"

The horn, seen from a distance, as we approached from the south-west. Viewed from inside the Crows Nest ... a nice, comfortable place to sit. The horn, as we came closer. We weren't the only ship here ... another cruise ship crossed .... ... in-front ... ... of us. It actually gives us some size/perspective. The "marker" which arbitrarily denotes the Pacific from Atlantic. People gathered outside to photograph it. The wind was horrible ... strong ... ... gusting.
