Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

The Jewell of any Holland America Cruise through the Caribbean is a day at Half Moon Cay, HAL's private Island. She's lovely!

It was a windy day, with rough seas, but we still went ashore.

Zoom-in shots of the shore as taken from the ship.
So many trees are missing!
A tender heads in, taking a load of passengers for a day of fun!
HMC's tender pier was sheltered, and looks just fine.

The fake-fort structure looks ok.

So does the bar ...
... and the shops.

A nice map to show us where everything is!
The plant life had been damaged by a recent hurricane ...
... but the beach still afforded lovely views.

The "I wish could stay here forever" bar survived!

The Zaandam, anchored in the harbor.

The obligatory photographers taking "ham" photos.

Ah, to rest on the beach and enjoy the view. See my toes????

The Food Area -- as if we don't eat enough already on these cruises!

A good set-up.
And, of course, another bar!
There are wonderful places to sit in the shade and eat ...
... and eat ...f
... and eat.
At the end of another lovely day at HMC, we returned to the ship.
