Canadian Ports: Vancouver and Victoria

Our Panama Canal Cruise departed from Vancouver in British Columbia, and cruised on to Victoria. Both are lovely cities; they're among my favorite places to visit.

Departure from Canada Place, Vancouver, is always a beautiful experience ...
... even when the sun makes it difficult to take good photos.
The views are always lovely from the sail-away party on lido-deck aft.
Passing under the Lion's Gate Bridge is always a great way to begin a cruise!
It's always wonderful to see people waving goodbye to us!

Moon over Vancouver.

Sunsets at sea ....
... can be amazing!
The Zaandam docked in Victoria at a nice low-key port.
it's NOT pronounced "Craig-da-roach" ... but "Craig-darick."
It was a very nice tour, which we took through ship excursions.

Our tour then went to the Empress Hotel ...
... which is located in downtown Victoria, across from the Capital building ...
...where we had High Tea.
I suppose they call it "High Tea" because it's very high in calories ...
... and fat.
Cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off ... yum yum. And the TEA! Wow!

Views of Victoria ...
... as the Zaandam ...
... pulls out of port.
The friendly Victorians waved good-bye to us.
