Church of the Agony ("All Nations")

Located on Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, next to the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations enshrines a section of bedrock where Jesus is said to have prayed before the night of his arrest.

The Church of All Nations was built from 1919-1924. It was built on the site...
... of a 4th century Byzantine basilica and a 12th century Crusader Chapel.
It is a lovely Church, with beautiful artwork depicting the events and people...
... involved in the prayer of Jesus, his betrayal and arrest.

The interior is dark, but once one's eyes adjust the lovely art work shines.

The roof of the Apse, above the High Altar, depicting Jesus in prayer.
The Reserved Sacrament.
The rock that tradition says Jesus prayed and sweat drops of blood on.

Side-chapel depiction of the betrayal.
Eucharistic symbols are to be found in the art work, especially this one ...
... in the dome above the Nave.
