Sea of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee, also called Lake Gennesaret, is where the Disciples worked as fishermen, where Jesus walked on water, and where our Lord "calmed the stormy sea."

One of the boats used to ferry Pilgrims and Tourists to sites around the shore.
These are nice boats.
From the water Tiberias can be seen very well.
Weldon and Carol share remarks on the beauty of the morning.
After raising the Israeli flag, they also raised Old Glory.
Meanwhile the crew worked to get fishing nets ready.
These fellows are in school, and do this to earn money.
Tiberias is a huge city.

Looking out from the bow of the boat toward the Mount of Beatitudes.
Meanwhile, aboard the boat the pilgrims we were with had a worship service.
We sang some hymns ...
... and their pastor preached a LONG sermon.

Looking toward Mount Beatitudes, where Jesus preached the "Sermon on the Mount."
The day was, truly, a lovely day to be on the water.
