Mount Carmel

On Mount Carmel Elijah had a competition with the priests of Baal to see which deity could light the altars -- Baal or Yahweh. Yahweh won and the priests of Baal got chopped to bits (1 Kings 18).

One can see Nazareth on the other side of the valley. With farm lands and an air base in the middle of the valley. Beyond Nazareth, on the far side of the Valley, can be seen Mt. Tabor.
