2004 Christmas Pageant

First United Methodist Church of Seagoville, Texas, celebrated Christmas in 2004 with a Children's Christmas Pageant based upon the "9 Lessons and Carols" service in the UM Book of Worship. Our children and youth did a wonderful job!

Entrance with praise The Hernandez Family lights the Advent Candles Alex peaking out between Poinsettias! Rev. Neal explains the service. The story of God searching Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The story of Abraham attempting to sacrifice Isaac. (look at their faces!) The children singing "Father Abraham." "The lion will down with the lamb ..." "... and a little child shall lead them." The angel Gabriel announces to the Virgin Mary ... ... that "she will conceive and bear a son." Dale and Crystal sing "Mary Did You Know?" Joseph, Mary, and the Baby Jesus in Bethlehem. Shepherd's visit the Holy Family. The Children sing "Happy Birthday Jesus." "We three kings of Orient are ..." check with Herod the Great (the tall youth). The Three Kings (Magi) approach the Holy Family ... ... and pay their respects. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God ... and became flesh." The congregation joins in singing Christmas hymns. Rev. Neal preaches ... ... about the meaning and significance of the gifts of gold ... ... frankincense ... ... and myrrh.
