What's New in Music Ministries This Week?
Take me out to the
ballgame! On Tuesday August 4th, as part of its centennial celebration,
Church of the Resurrection is singing the national anthem to kick off
the game at PNC Park. All cluster members are welcome to join with us
for this special event. If you would like to participate by singing
with the group, email or call Ron Schulz at 412.563.4400, or

How do I fit in to the Music
Ministry Program?
There is a place for everyone at
the music ministries table. See the list of ministries, and think about
how you might share your talents with the community:
- Cantor
: possess special skill for learning and leading music at our weekend
liturgies
- Singer:
Join one of our choral ensembles and share your special voice
- Resurrection
Singers: Our traditional Choral Ensemble open to anyone from
High School age and above
- Peacemakers:
Our Contemporary Ensemble open to singers and instrumentalists from
grade 7 and above
- Junior
Music Ministry: Open to grade 3 thru 8. Ring bells, sing and
play instruments
- Handbells:
You don't have to know how to read notes, just be able to count to six!
I have a special system I use where you can play immediately and with
confidence.
- Instrumentalist:
Dust off those instruments sitting in the closet and put to good use
all those lessons you were forced to take
- Family
Choir: Join us each Sunday morning at 8:30am liturgy in the
choir loft to help
lead the singing. Bring the whole family! No rehearsal required!
- Member of
the Gathered Assembly: even if you don't formally belong to any
of our organizations, you are still a member of the music ministry, and
it is your right and privilege to share your spirit in 'full and active
participation' at any of our liturgies
