EOG Math
The North Carolina End-of-Grade Tests are designed to measure student performance on the goals, objectives, and grade-level competencies specified in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The end-of-grade tests in reading comprehension and mathematics are administered to students in grades 6-8 as part of the statewide assessment program. The testing window for the end-of-grade test is the last three weeks of the school year.

What’s this all about?
Effective with the 2005-06 school year, the North Carolina End-of-Grade Mathematics Tests measure the goals and objectives as specified in the 2003 North Carolina Mathematics Standard Course of Study (Content Standards). The competency goals and objectives of the mathematics curriculum adopted in 2003 by the North Carolina State Board of Education for each grade are organized into five strands: (1) Number and Operations; (2) Measurement; (3) Geometry; (4) Data Analysis and Probability; and (5) Algebra.
