"Services for the restoration and conservation of your most precious antique dolls." Restorations at Professional Doll Restoration adhere
to the standards of museum conservators. We use materials and
pigments that are artist grade and have been tested for stability and
lightfastedness. Restorations are performed in a manner to maintain
the aesthetic and historic value of the doll. We specialize in
the restoration of antique bisque, china, parian and paper mache. We
also repair modern and collectible porcelains, resins and Himstedt vinyl
dolls.
As is evident from the large collection of antique bodies available at this website we always strive to use only antique parts for replacement if pieces are missing. We also specialize in doll conservation, identifying the best methods to preserve the current condition and value of your collection. "The Body Bank" As a part of our doll restoration business we maintain a doll "BodyBank" to help people find the antique and collectible bodies they need for their dolls. We try to obtain the highest quality parts we can find. The bodies are divided into 7 pages. There is a page for each of the types of body we carry, and then an "other" page that contains new bodies, parts, and any other dolls without their own page. We only have a brief description on this list. If a body is of particular interest to you, please use the additional information page for more information. Our prices are firm on the bodies purchased individually. To purchase a body use the additional information page. If you prefer to send us your doll head to check for a body please e-mail us to make arrangements. We also purchase high quality bodies and doll parts. Please use the additional information form before you order a body for answers to any questions. We want you to have the best and most appropriate match possible. "The Eye Bank" As a part of our doll restoration business we maintain a doll "EyeBank" to help people find the antique and new eyes they need for their dolls. We try to obtain the highest quality eyes we can find. The eyes are divided into 4 pages and all eyes have a picture above them. The antique eyes page contains antique eyes not on a rocker. The antique eyes on rocker page contains all antique eyes on rockers including those with smaller pupils/irises for baby dolls and those with lashes. The new glass eyes page has information regarding some of the new eyes we make available to you, please contact us if you need something not displayed. Finally, the paperweight eyes page contains all the paperweight eyes we currently have available. To order eyes or request more information, you must e-mail us directly: repairdolls@mac.com Please keep in mind that what is shown here is but a small portion of what we have in stock, please e-mail us if you are looking for something not shown here and we will do our best to help you. **Shipping and Policies** We ship by UPS ground, insured, unless you specify otherwise.
