Blog Censorship!
I got banned from a blog.
Well it happened. Owing to two comments I made I was
banned from making a comment on someone's blog. Here's the relevant link. Note
the terminus - "I don't like what you say so I'm deleting it and a whole other
bunch of stuff where people agreed with
you.".

I've
read this guy's blog for some time now. He makes me laugh with the general
impression he gives of himself and how different it seems to how he perceives
himself. From his regular deep and introspective questions about how much he can
drink without getting drunk and how he would treat a girl if he had one, one
tends to think this guy is a young teenager - and that's just what I did - until
I actually saw some photos of him on his blog. He's an adult! I find this
amusing but in an enjoyable way, not a mean way. Heh - although people who
incorporate an apology in their sentences usually don't mean
that.
I have nothing personally against
the guy but I do think it's a shame that when he creates a blog that can have
comments on it he then goes to lengths to censor views he doesn't
like.
For the record I pointed out that
"effect" and "affect" were two different words meaning slightly different
things. His blog-friends agreed. He then changed his blog posting (incorrectly),
defended it (wrongly) so I followed up. I poked fun at his re-editing and how
being a leader requires you to stand by your words (i.e. NOT editing blog posts
after they've gone out just for vanity's sake) and then went on to add real
content to the "off topic" discussion by giving my opinions. I added more
content than anyone else had so far and finished off with another light hearted
highlighting of where this guy had actually contradicted himself in his argument
about the syntactics. I looked again today to see if he had responded to my real
content and found it all gone because all the content posted was off
topic.
Sigh.
