Synchronicity


Chronos Strikes.

Not just a song by the Police (and a fine one at that) but sometimes genuinely weird things happen. Maybe there is some bizarre multidimensional being somewhere laughing at us from on high.

This morning:

email from a random Brewitt I emailed from the internet with genealogical intent:

"One great puzzle from the north is whether the surname BROWITT is a
different name or just a bad spelling of BREWITT."

And a news item on the BBC:

"Two burglars who beheaded a cat and cooked a live mouse in a microwave have been jailed for three years each.

Steven Browitt, 35 and Andrew Maloney, 26, used a blunt axe to decapitate Greta, a blind 19-year-old tortoiseshell cat.
Browitt and Maloney, both from Wigan, then killed owner David Byrne's pet mouse Snowy by putting it in the microwave along with some vegetables."

I swear I had never heard of the name Browitt before this morning, and I do know of some Brewitts in Wigan.

Very odd that these events should coincide.
