Guy Fawkes night
Here in Cambridge it's been one of the noisiest Guy
Fawkes' weeks
ever.
There was the main display on Midsummer Common on Wednesday and this Friday and
Saturday night the skies have been awash with colour and
noise.
Tonight (Saturday) has been
amazing. I don't think five minutes have passed since about 6pm without some
loud bangs and flashes. We were even graced by the police helicopter for an hour
or so around 9pm, although I'm pretty sure they encouraged lots of people to
take pot shots.
