BitPim
A few posts ago I complained about BREW and its
lack of user modifiability. Well, despite this, I'm now leaving my Treo 650 at
home thanks to BitPim, which
allows me to sync most data between my computer and phone. To be sure, it's
limited, but I can now get my calendar on my phone, although it took a while to
find settings that would work, and can sync contacts, ringtones, and memos
pretty well. And, although that may not be a lot, it covers 95% of my Treo
usage, so I'm happy enough with it.
If you're in a similar situation with a feature phone, give BitPim a try. If it supports your phone, and it supports a lot, then you may find your phone's PIM features a lot more useful.
