Gordon's Mori Scripts

This is a collection of scripts that add functionality to Mori through AppleScript, either by automating tasks in Mori or communicating Mori data with other applications.

To install the scripts, move the folder Gordon's Scripts to ~/Library/Scripts/Mori Scripts/ (you may need to create the Mori Scripts folder).

Script Documentation

Count Words in All Entries counts the number of words in every entry's note in the front document.

Import OmniWeb 5 Tabs creates a new note in Mori with the contents of the page in each open OmniWeb 5 tab. You can change the folder to which the imported entries are stored by editing the value of inboxName in the script.

Merge Entries takes the selected entries and merges them into one note with headings. Note that text attributes will be lost.

Send to Mail creates a new message in Mail with the selected entry's notes as the content of the new message.

Create Entry from Mail Message

This script creates a new entry in Mori from an e-mail received by Mail.

This script is not installed in Mori's script folder. Instead, you can keep it anywhere on your computer (I keep a folder called Scripts in my Document folder for scripts like this). To use it, in Mail go to your Preferences under the Rule pane. Then create a new rule and set up some conditions for messages you'd like to send to Mori. For example, I send all messages with subjects starting "Mori:" from my phone's e-mail account to Mori. Under the actions to perform, add a "Run AppleScript" and choose the Create Entry from Mail Message script. You can add other actions if you wish, such as to mark these messages unread and move them to the Trash. Now when you receive messages matching the conditions you specified, Mail will use AppleScript to create a new entry in Mori.

You can change the folder this script will send entries to in Mori by editing the value of mailedEntryFolderName. If one of your rule conditions is a prefix in the subject, the script will automatically strip it.
