As predicted


Abstract:
I'm busy.

Body:
As predicted, I'm extremely busy and I'm not finding time to blog. That doesn't mean I'm giving up on my schedule; it just means I have to try harder.

So far I enjoy being part of the math department far more than I ever liked being part of the computer science department. I feel like a real graduate student here: I have what is effectively my own office (no one but me seems willing to venture out to the trailer it's in), I have an office phone, I have a regular school employee e-mail account, I have a mailbox, and I and the other grad students are more included in department events. In reality my pay to work ratio is worse than ever and I have more to do than I'd like, but it's ultimately what I want to be doing, and it'll be more fun once I can get back to doing research (I'm too busy for even that right now).
