Biography of a G-Man

For a couple years I had wanted to grow a beard, but did't. Obsessive-compulsive, I worried over the change. What would people think? Would my parents throw me out of the house? Would I be sliced down by the Shaving Gods?All real worries in my mind. But in my senior year of high school I finally overcame my fear and stopped shaving my chin.

I wanted to grow a beard for two reasons. One, I had a theory that a beard makes the computer scientist. I can't think of many famous computer scientists who didn't have beards (only Alan Turning comes to mind). Two, I saw the episode of Dexter's Laboratory where Dexter grows a beard to be rugged like his hero, Action Hank. It was so awesome, I had to have a beard. Then I too would be–rugged.

I like my beard more as it grows out. I don't plan on expanding to clean plots of jaw, but who knows what the future might bring.
